At Batterybus, we own and stock our inventory in our own warehouse and ship Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm Eastern Time.

We use plain English to divide and sub-divide our product mix, and use “baby-talk” in each of our product descriptions. We understand that the world of batteries today is much different than it was in the past because there is much more to choose from than even a couple of decades ago. Not only that, but shopping is done differently than it used to be.  A mere 10 years ago, one had virtually no choice but to get their batteries at their local retailer. Perhaps the merchant knew very little about the different battery chemistries and battery capacities he sold. Maybe the customer knew he wanted AA NiMH rechargeable Batteries for his brand new digital camera, but to save money, wanted to buy 24 of them to ensure he’d have a good supply on hand for years to come. Chances are, that the retailer only sold them in 2 packs so the customer would have had to purchase 12 packs to get 24 batteries, and this would have been at no savings to him versus the 2 pack price. With no volume value offered, this was all the customer had to choose from, and it’s what was accepted and tolerated.

Rechargeable Batteries are popularly used in many, if not most consumer electronic devices today. They provide an excellent alternative to single-use batteries, called Primary Batteries. While they cost more than Primary cells, they deliver much more performance over time because they can be charged and recharged many times.

At BatteryBus, you’ll find NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) rechargeable batteries in AA, AAA, C, D and 9 Volt sizes. We can sell you ANY QUANTITY you require. These are for users who wish to use rechargeable batteries that do not sustain memory effect and are rechargeable up to 1000 separate times. NiMH Cells are reliable cells for worry free operation and maintenance.

In addition, we also provide NiCD (Nickel Cadmium) rechargeable batteries in AA, AAA, C, Sub C, D and 9 Volt sizes. NiCD cells are made to endure up to 500 separate charge times but they can suffer from memory effect, so be sure to charge your NICD cells only once they are fully empty (discharged), In this way, you preserve the memory the battery was manufactured with, ensuring no shortened memory (memory effect) takes place. Costing a little less than NiMH batteries, NiCD cells provide a less expensive alternative for those choosing to use rechargeable batteries.

Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries are rechargeables that also do not experience memory effect, can also be charged up to 1000 individual times and have the best energy densities. They’re made as individual cells and as battery packs (grouped cells) for which there are a wide host of applications. Another significant benefit of Li-Ion rechargeable batteries is that they discharge more slowly when not being used than other chemistries. For those who only use their rechargeable batteries once in a while with long intervals between each use, they can count on Li-Ion to retain more of their power longer, between uses. Li-Ion cells are often used in remote-controlled products and are popularly used in battery packs as well.

For all the rechargeable batteries we stock, we sell a variety of battery chargers to go with them.  Our staff is extremely well-versed on the technologies behind all the different battery chargers we have and can explain in plain English, what you need to know, to make sure you get the exact type of battery charger you need.
